RENO, NV - The Hermiston-born cat who held the Guinness World Record for his length has died.
Stewie the Cat's owner, Robin Hendrickson says the veterinarians diagnosed the 7-year-old cat with cancer a while back. As of August of 2012, he was in remission, but the cancer came back on Christmas.
As of October, 2010, the Maine Coon cat took the title for being the longest domestic cat, measuring 48.5 inches from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail.
Stewie was born in Hermiston, and moved to Reno, Nevada as a kitten.
