SPOKANE, Wash. - A background check by KHQ Tuesday afternoon shows that the man shot and killed by Spokane Police following a pursuit early Tuesday morning on Spokane's South Hill had an extensive criminal history.

A background check shows that Jacob Isaih Dorfman was arrested just over two weeks ago on January 19th, 2013 by the Spokane County Sheriff's Office following a pursuit. Dorfman was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Attempt To Elude, Driving With A Suspended or Revoked License, Hit And Run, Theft, Malicious Mischief and Failure To Comply. The criminal report of that incident indicates Dorfman was in possession of Meth and / or Heroin.

In October of 2012, Dorfman was arrested by the Spokane County Sheriff's Office for two counts of Intent To Deliver Meth/Heroin, just eight months after he was arrested by the Spokane Police Department for Possession of a Controlled Substance, this time it was Hydrocodone.

In all, Dorfman has seven felony convictions on his record:

1.) Attempt To Elude

2.) Unlawful Issue Of Bank Checks Or Drafts

3.) Possession Of Stolen Property

4.) Burglary

5.) Assault

6.) Robbery

7.) Residential Burglary

There is also a gross misdemeanor from 2005 listed as "Dangerous Weapon Violence."
