Local Home Improvement Stores Hiring

YAKIMA Wash.-- If you're looking for a job, local home improvement stores want to talk to you.

The Lowe's in Yakima is having a job fair Friday starting at 11am at the Goodwill Work Opportunity Center in Yakima.

A Lowe's spokesperson says they'll be looking to hire 26 seasonal employees, but those positions always have the chance to turn into full or part-time jobs.

The company is hiring 45,000 workers nationwide, and they say they're looking for employees at their stores in Kennewick and Pasco too.

And The Home Depot is also hiring for the spring season.

They plan to hire 80,000 seasonal workers nationwide, about 10,000 more than they hired this time last year.

A spokesperson says they'll hire about 100 employees throughout the Columbia Basin and Yakima Valley, so check out your local home improvement store if you need a job.
