Gun Rights Supporters Rally In Olympia

Posted: Updated:

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - Gun rights supporters hope for a turnout of 1,500 people at a rally Friday at the Capitol where Washington lawmakers are considering proposals to combat gun violence.

As part of the "2nd Right Rally" on the Capitol some people will be bearing firearms as permitted by the state law.

The Department of Enterprise Services says organizers have worked with the department and the Washington State Patrol to conduct their demonstration in a manner that will not be perceived as threatening.
