UPDATE: Teen Shot Outside FDA Seattle Regional Office

Posted: Updated:

BOTHELL, Wash. (AP) - A 15-year-old boy who was injured in a shooting incident Friday morning outside the Food and Drug Administration regional office in Bothell is out of the hospital.

Two security guards were involved in the shooting, and the teen was involved in a hit-and-run accident as he drove away.

Bothell Police Sgt. Cedric Collins says it's not certain if he was shot or injured only in the collision. Collins says he's being held for questioning by the Snohomish County Multi-Agency Response Team.

Security guards told police they fired shots in a confrontation with a suspicious person in the FDA parking lot.

Northshore School District spokeswoman Leanna Albrecht says the 15-year-old is a student at the Secondary Academy for Success, an alternative high school adjacent to the FDA office building.
