POST FALLS, Idaho - At just 19, Kyle Messier has played his fair share of Lottery tickets.
"I've paid my dues, I guess you could say," Messier said.
Just as he had done so many times before, he bought two $10.00 Scratch Off's at The Frontier Grocery in Post Falls. After he and his friend drove off and just a few scratches down the road his dreams of going back to School were coming true. Messier exclaims, "Me and my buddy were scratching, I was scratching, he was driving. And it's just nuts, I was just in shock." It was the One-Hundred Thousand Dollar prize.
"It was like funny, because I was like, 'If I win $100,000 I am going to quit my job, and I can go to school'." Kyle Messier did just that. He had it his way and quit his job at Burger King in Post Falls.
"I can finally do what I've wanted to do for years" says Messier. Now with enough money, he's chasing his dream of going to college to become an X-ray technician. A big winner, with big dreams and an official Idaho State Lottery photo he's sure to hang on the wall. Messier plans to enroll at Carrington College next semester and he's also got a wedding to help pay for in a few weeks.
