Lakeside Holds Off Cashmere in Double Overtime to Advance to Semis

SPOKANE, WA -- The Lakeside Boys Basketball team held off Cashmere 79-72 in double overtime on Friday night at West Valley High School as part of the Bi-District 6/7 Basketball Tournament.

The Eagles advance to the semis and will play 4-seeded Brewster, as the Bears fended off the top-seed out of the Northeast A League, Medical Lake. Game time is set for 6:15pm.

On the other side of the bracket, the Caribou Trail league's, 3-seed Chelan beat Chewelah 31-24 to advance to the semis. The Goats will battle top-seeded Okanogan Saturday at 4:30pm.

In the girls bracket, Cashmere handed the Freeman girls their third loss in four games, 59-55. The Bulldogs will take on Brewster Saturday at 4:30pm. Meanwhile, Chelan cruised by Newport and will take on Okanogan in the semis.
