Twin Brothers With Identical DNA Are Both Being Held As Possible Rape Suspects

Posted: Updated:

KHQ.COM - Identical twin brothers in Marseilles, France have both been arrested as possible serial rapist suspects. Their DNA is so identical, police are not sure which one might be the serial rapist.

DNA evidence is what helped police initially track down the twins who have been identified as 24-year-old Yohan and Elwin but regular DNA tests cannot identify which one of them allegedly sexually assaulted six women between September and January.

Both brothers are denying the charges so police are holding them both without bail until very expensive, special DNA tests are completed that will determine which brother is the true suspect. The DNA tests will reportedly cost 1 million euros ($1.3 million).
