SPANGLE, Wash. - Spokane County Fire District 3 Crews are monitoring a still-burning fire in Spangle, which broke out early Tuesday morning.
Spokane FD 3 officials say the fire broke out early Tuesday morning and because there are live electric wires running to both the barn and the home nearby.
KHQ arrived first on the scene and as of 5AM Avista crews had not arrived to shut off power to the area. The fire will be monitored by several crews while they wait for power to be shut off.
At least 4 pigs were killed in the fire. The owner say this is the first year they raised the pigs for the fair and that the children are going to be heartbroken.
The cause of the fire is unknown, and there were no injuries to any of the people involved.
