
UPDATE: We're now learning that the small plane crashed while trying to take off. The pilot was in the process of taking off when a gust of wind caught it and caused one of the wings to dip, that's when the wing hit the ground that sent the plane into a sign. There are no injuries to report.

EPHRATA, Wash. - A training aircraft used by Big Bend Community College made an emergency crash landing at the Ephrata Municipal Airport on Wednesday afternoon. The small plane had two people on board including an instructor and a student.
Neither person was injured. Authorities are looking at the landing gear of the plane as a possible reason for the problem. When the plane crashed it hit a sign and light.
