UPDATE: Meridan Middle School On Lockdown After Somone Walked In With An Ax

UPDATE: Heritage Middle School in Meridan is on lockdown after a report of someone with an ax walking through a locker-room area of the campus. All schools in Meridian are on lockdown as a precaution. But the focus is on Heritage Middle School.

Police officers are on scene. They're telling parents to go to the LDS church on Meridian Rd. south of Chinden for updates. They are telling parents there that all of the children are safe.

KHQ.COM - KBOI in Boise, Idaho is reporting that a man walked into Heritage Middle School in Meridian this morning with some sort of weapon. Dispatchers say the school is on lockdown as authorities search the school.

Meridian Police say they're conducting a room-by-room search of the school.
