
The Idaho 5A state championship will come down to an Inland Empire League battle.
Post Falls will take on Coeur d'Alene at 8 p.m. Saturday from The Idaho Center.
Post Falls earned its spot in the championship game with a narrow 42-41 win Friday against Highland. Senior Dani Failor paced the Trojans with a game-high 15 points, while Brooke Litalien added 13 in the winning effort.
Coeur d'Alene staked its claim to the other berth in the championship game thanks to a dominant 55-39 victory against Capital. Junior Sydney Williams blasted Capital with a game-high 22-point effort.
In the first three meetings this season, Post Falls won both games after dropping the first matchup to the Vikings 47-41 on January 8.
