
SPOKANE, WA -- The Shadle Park Highlanders edged Hanford, 49-47 in the 3A Regionals to punch their ticket to the state tournament. George Pilimai led the Highlanders with a game-high 19 points. Shadle Park claims the 2-seed to state.
In the 4A ranks, Central Valley defeated the Gonzaga Prep Bullpups, 65-56. Austin Rehkow and Adam Chamberlain led the Bears with 20 points each. Brendan McClary scored 23 points for the Bullpups. CV claims the 2-seed to state and will travel to Puyallup on Saturday to play an opponent TBD.
The Gonzaga Prep girls defeated Chiawana 58-41 to claim the 2-seed to the 4A state tournament. Kayla Leland led the Pups with 20 points. Laura Stockton added 14 points.
The University Titans girls basketball team downed Shadle Park, 62-58 to punch their ticket to state.
