Spokane Police Arrest Suspect In Armed Robbery

Spokane Police Department Press Release:

On February 16th, 2013, at approximately 7:19 pm, Spokane Police received a report that an Armed Robbery had just occurred at Bargain Giant Food at 2103 E. Empire. Officer Nate Gobble responded to the scene and contacted the victims. The suspect was described as a white male wearing a dark hoodie, a bandana over his face, blue jeans, white shoes, a dark hat, and dark backpack. The suspect was described as being armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

Witnesses reported seeing the suspect running from the scene. Spokane Police Officers set containment in the area and Spokane Police K-9 Officer Dan Lesser and his K-9, Rav, responded to track the suspect. K- Rav tracked to a house in the E 1900 block of Empire where officers contacted a possible suspect and discovered possible evidence.

This subject was arrested on an unrelated warrant. This investigation is still continuing. Anyone who feels they may have potential information about this incident should call Crime Check at 456-2233.
