Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Fire Near Mission Park

Firefighters responded to a fire at the 1700 block of East Sharp just before 5:00PM Sunday. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames with minimal damage to the structure. The fire was contained to the attic. No one was in the building at the time of the fire, and the cause is still under investigation. The estimated cost of the damage is about $3,000.
