Posted: Updated:

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Idaho State Police have identified the person who died after his vehicle went off Bogus Basin Road as a 50-year-old Boise man.

Roger L. Brown was the only person in the 1979 Porsche Sunday when it went over an embankment and rolled 225 feet.

The car was headed down the mountain a few miles below Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area.

The Idaho Statesman reports (http://bit.ly/UvVLf3) the vehicle crossed the oncoming traffic lane, went off the road and down a steep hillside.

Chief Deputy Coroner Mike Johnson says Brown was wearing a seat belt, but the force of the crash ejected him 20 feet.

Johnson says the cause of death is head and chest injuries and no autopsy will be done. Toxicology testing will be done.
