Seattle Lawyer Is A Sexual Predator

Posted: Updated:

KIROTV.COM - Information in new search warrants, if true, paints Seattle lawyer Danford Grant as a sexual predator who was determined to assault his chosen victims.

Grant is charged with seven counts of rape, attempted rape and burglary in attacks on women at massage clinics in Bellevue, Seattle and Shoreline.

According to search warrants, one alleged victim, identified as YBC, claims Grant, whose name was not known to her at the time, first tried to assault her in June, 2011, when she worked at Carnation Health Center.

YBC soon started working out of her home and claims that in November of 2011, a man named "Bob" made an appointment.

YBC told detectives when "Bob" showed up, she immediately recognized him as the man who had tried to assault her before, and she told him to leave.

Not long after, YBC said a man who claimed his name was "Jim" made an appointment, and when he arrived, she again recognized "Jim" as the person she now knows as Grant.

She refused to let him in, and the man left.

In August of 2012, a man who called himself Pete made an appointment.

According to documents, "YBC opened the door with the chain lock in place.  She again immediately recognized him as Grant."

"He pushed through the door breaking the chain lock."

Documents said Grant then raped YBC.

The documents also revealed that the alleged victim identified as CZ claims Grant used the names "Hunter" and "Bob" when making appointments at her Bellevue clinic, but that shortly before Grant raped her at knifepoint, he told her to call him "Dan."

KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Amy Clancy asked Grant's attorney, Richard Hansen, why his client would use aliases if what happened at the appointments was consensual.

Hansen said he could not comment on Grant's case, but said he's had other clients, including a lawyer, who were blackmailed by masseuses who provided more than just a massage.

Hansen said he doubted that Grant would go to trial before August or September.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Wind, humidity and rainfall combined precisely to create the massive killer tornado in Moore, Okla. And when they did, the awesome amount of energy released over that city dwarfed the power of the atomic bomb that leveled Hiroshima. Meteorologists contacted by The Associated Press used real time measurements to calculate the energy released during the storm's life span of almost an hour.
