INDUSTRY HILLS, Calif. - Freshman Raychelle Santos claimed medalist honors for the second straight week and Gonzaga University's women's golf team successfully defended its title at the third annual Folino Invitational Tuesday.

Santos, who won The Gold Rush in the spring opener last week, shot a final-round 1-under par 70 for a 54-hole score of 218 to claim a 1-stroke victory over Aram Choi of Portland State University who shot a final-round 72. Choi held a 1-shot lead entering the final round.

Gonzaga shot a final-round 295 for a 54-hole score of 902 for an 11-stroke victory over host CSU Fullerton. The Bulldogs took an 8-shot lead over UC Riverside into Tuesday's final round, the Highlanders finishing third at 917.

Gonzaga's Victoria Fallgren finished third at 222 with a final-round 72 over the 6,067-yard, par 71 Babe Didrikson Zaharias Course at Industry Hills Golf Club.

Santos, who had a 74 in each of the first two rounds of the three-day event, had five birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey in Tuesday's round. She started on the 17th hole in the final-round shotgun start. Fallgren had three birdies and four bogeys in her round.

The Bulldogs are off to a fast start this spring, having finished second at The Gold Rush. Gonzaga will compete in its third tournament in as many weeks when they head to the Anteater Invitational next Monday and Tuesday hosted by UC Irvine.
