SPOKANE, Wash. - Firefighters from Fire District 10 took part in a practice climb at O'Doherty's Irish Grill Thursday evening.
They are supporting the upcoming 22nd Annual Scott Stairclimb in Seattle which benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society which will take place on March 10th.
Firefighters in that fundraiser will have to climb 69 floors of the Columbia Center in full firefighting gear.
This is an especially important cause for the folks at O'Doherty's because they lost a friend to Leukemia and hosted Thursday's stair climb in his honor.
Firefighters say the practice stair climber is not quite as challenging, but it's still a good workout.
