UPDATE: Shooting In Spokane Valley

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE VALLEY POLICE DEPT: On Thursday February 21st at 11:20 p.m., Spokane Valley Sheriff's deputies responded to the area of Evergreen and Indiana for a report of a possible shooting.

When deputies arrived, they contacted an adult male who had been shot.  Due to the violent criminal nature of this incident, the Spokane Violent Crime Gang Enforcement Team (SVCGET) detectives were called to the scene to assist with the investigation.
 
This incident appears to have started in the area of Broadway and Sullivan Road and the two vehicles traveled to the area of Evergreen and Indiana.  The victim vehicle pulled over and stopped.  The suspect vehicle drove up and shot(s) were fired at the victim before the suspect's vehicle drove away.
 
The victim was transported to the local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

TWITTER FROM KHQ'S KATIE STEINER: Just talked to law enforcement, said that some of the people they talked to have some sort of gang tie.

UPDATE: All roadways are now back open. At this hour we're awaiting more details from authorities.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Right now, Indiana Avenue from Evergreen Mirabeau Parkway is closed as police investigate a shooting that.

Multiple agencies have blocked of the Hobby Lobby parking lot after one person was confirmed shot. That person was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries. A silver car in the parking lot is being closely monitored at this time.

At this time no one has been arrested, but officers are looking for a black Jetta that they believe could be involved in the incident.
