UPDATE: Body Found West Of Medical Lake; Sheriff's Department Investigating

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office has released the cause and manner of death of 53-year-old Bruce King. King was found back on February 24th on a remote road west of Medical Lake.

On Tuesday, the Medical Examiner reiterated that King died from hypothermia, and also added that the manner of death has been ruled an accident.

UPDATE: The Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed the identity of the man who was found on February 24, 2013 on West Hallett Road near Medical Lake. He's identified as 53-year-old Bruce A. King. King died of Hypothermia according to the Medical Examiner.

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Spokane County Sheriff's Detectives are investigating the discovery of a body west of Medical Lake near the Lincoln County line. The call came in around 11:45am Sunday when police were notified of a man in a ditch near the intersection of Hallett and Stangland.

Responding deputies found the body of a deceased male in a ditch near the intersection.  Details are limited, but right now the man has not been identified, nor is it exactly clear how he died. Detectives will continue to meticulously process the scene.

They are asking anyone with any information to please call Crime Check at 456-2233.  Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233. More information is expected to be released Monday. 

Spokane County Sheriff's Department Press Release:  Today at approximately 11:45 a.m., Spokane County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to the area of W. Hallett Rd. and S. Stangland Rd. for a report of a male lying in a ditch. The male was found to be deceased and Spokane County Major Crimes Detectives were called out to continue the investigation.    

The name of the male will be released by the Medical Examiner's Office pending an autopsy and next of kin notification.   

This investigation is an on-going death investigation and more information will be release at a later date when appropriate to do so.
