SPOKANE, Wash. - Police arrested two men in the early morning hours of Monday after they say the men were caught stealing from a recycling company in east Spokane.

Spokane Police Officers arrest 2 suspects after responding to a burglary in
progress at Action Recycling
Officers were alerted to the burglary when the victim reported an alarm at
Action Recycling just before midnight on 022413. Officers responded quickly
and observed two males flee the area on foot. There was a short foot pursuit
with one suspect until a K-9 unit responded to assist. Several Officers
surrounded the area and set up a containment perimeter. 45 year old Johnny R.
Harris was observed breaking the perimeter and cornered in a nearby yard. He
was taken into custody without incident.
Officers locate the second suspect, 31 year-old Billy J. Cochran at
Montgomery/Astor and he was also arrested without incident. The investigation
showed that Harris and Cochran cut a hole in a fence of the business and were in
the process of piling up wheels and car batteries when spotted by police.
Officers also recovered property that linked them to a 22nd burglary
at 200 E. Montgomery. Harris and Cochran were both booked into jail for
22nd degree burglary.
