Pedestrian Struck Twice By Hit-And-Run Driver - Spokane, North Idaho News & Weather KHQ.com

Seattle police said officers were called to a location near the intersection of Fremont Avenue North and North 105th Street at 11:36 p.m. for a report of an injury crash.

Police said a preliminary investigation indicated that the victim, a man in his 40s, was standing with a friend at the bus stop just east of the intersection on the south side of North 105th Street.

Shortly before the crash, a man who was driving a 2000 Ford Mustang convertible was traveling eastbound on North 105th Street drove up onto the curb and struck the victim, investigators said.

The driver continued on and hit two parked cars, then backed up and struck the victim a second time, police said.

Officers said the driver's car then became stuck on the curb.

When the driver tried to run away, the victim's friend tried to stop him, but the driver was able to break free and ran northbound on Fremont Avenue North.

Officers searched for the man, described as Hispanic, 5 feet 4 inches tall and wearing a black jacket and tan pants, but were unable to find him.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
