    SPOKANE, Wash. - Christopher James Parker's died on February 24th due to methamphetamine toxicity, however, his death is being classified as a homicide.
    SPOKANE, Wash. - Christopher James Parker's died on February 24th due to methamphetamine toxicity, however, Parker had diabetes and due to the physiologic effects and stress of being restrained, his death is being classified as a homicide.

UPDATED PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: While the Spokane Investigative Regional Response Team (SIRR Team) continues to conduct the investigation into the in-custody death in the jail on February 24th 2013, the Spokane County Sheriff's Office is releasing the names of the deputies involved.  

When inmate Parker became uncooperative in the booking area, the following deputies assisted in gaining control of Parker and restraining him.   

Deputy Brad Dahlin-7 yrs

Deputy William Miller-11 yrs

Deputy Sandy Rief-4 yrs

Deputy Timothy Wirun-6 yrs 

Deputy Alfred Torres-7 yrs

Deputy Kenneth Kuiper-6 yrs  

The Washington State Patrol is the managing agency for SIRR Team for this investigation.
