State B Action On And Off The Court

SPOKANE, Wash. - There was a whole lot of athletic ability on display on the first day of the WIAA Hardwood Classic State Basketball Tournament, and not just in the basketball court.

Pep bands and cheerleaders from across the state are providing halftime entertainment and a whole lot of motivation for the athletes.

The Sunnyside Christian boys and girls both competed Thursday, making it a very busy day for their cheer squad.

This year's basketball teams have brought a lot of excitement to the community and the cheerleaders have supported them the entire journey.

This year's basketball teams has even paved the way for more people to sign up for Sunnyside Christian's cheerleading team than ever before.

The cheer squad learned a lot of stunts and put them to use on Thursday, getting the crowd behind pumped up for both the boys and the girls games.

Those teams, and the cheerleaders, now move on to face off against opponents in the semi finals.
