SPOKANE, Wash. -

Colton 71 Wilbur-Creston 30 (Girls 1B)

Colton came out firing on all cylinders, as they advanced to the state championship game with an easy win.

Jenna Moser led Colton with 26 points and seven rebounds in the win. Jessica Boyer had six for Wilbur-Creston.

Colton faces Sunnyside Christian in the girls 1B championship game Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and Wilbur-Creston squares off with Pateros for third place at 11:15 a.m.

 

Sunnyside Christian 78 Pateros 38 (Girls 1B)

Sunnyside Christian had no trouble advancing to the state championship game, running away with a semifinal win over Pateros.

The Knights shot 55.6 percent (30-of-54) from the floor and hit 80 percent (16-of-20) from the charity stripe.

Stormee Van Belle led Sunnyside Christian with 21 points, while Katarina Wilson paced Pateros with 12.

    The Central Valley High School girls basketball team capped off an historic season Saturday morning, defeating Hamilton Heights (TN) 66-61 in the GEICO High School Nationals championship game. Gatorade state player of the year, Lexie Hull led the way 26 points, 13 of which came in the 4th quarter. The Bears end the season 29-0 as Washington state champions and national champions.>>
