SPOKANE, Wash – One man is under arrest after a search warrant was executed at a home on Stone & Crescent in Spokane by the Major Crimes and SWAT Teams of the Spokane Police.
Police identified the suspect Monday afternoon as 39-year-old William G. Anderson. They also said the search warrant is related to Friday's shooting at 1607 East Pacific, in which Jeremy Paul Lambert, 35, was shot in the chest.
Police will not comment on the relationship, if any, between Anderson and Lambert. The suspect was taken to the Major Crimes Unit of Spokane Police to be interviewed.
Spokane Police Lt. Mark Griffiths told KHQ they were looking for a gun and that suspect, and they are not looking for any other individuals. The whole process moved quickly, as information was developed over the weekend as to a suspect in Friday's shooting. They had a briefing at 1 p.m. Monday, served the warrant at 2 p.m., and were done by 2:30 p.m.
Because the warrant was related to the shooting, the SWAT team was brought in as a precaution; however, police say Anderson cooperated.
"Everybody was cooperative," Lt. Griffiths added. "There were about a dozen people in the house. Everyone was contacted, and there was no use of force or any kind of altercation. He did not resist."
They say they have no reason to believe the shooting is gang-related. However, a body was found outside the same house just hours before the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing, and we hope to learn more about the man arrested and what lead to the shooting in the coming days.

Just days after a shooting left one man injured, Spokane Police have
arrested a suspect in the case. Spokane Police SWAT and Major Crimes Unit
executed a search warrant this afternoon at 1619 N. Stone. William G. Anderson
(03-02-1974) was arrested for Assault stemming from a shooting happening this
past Friday at 1607 E. Pacific.
Today at 2:00pm Spokane Police officers and detectives from SWAT and the
Major Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at 1619 N. Stone in Spokane.
Detectives had developed leads over the weekend that Anderson was the suspect in
this case and was at this location.
SWAT secured the home and arrested Anderson without incident. This search
warrant was considered a high risk warrant because of the number of individuals
in the home at the time (there were more than a dozen people inside the home) as
well as the possibility that there were weapons present.
This search warrant stems from a shooting incident happening late on Friday
(03-01-13) at a home at 1607 E. Pacific. Witnesses told police that a group of
3-4 men approached the home and detectives believe Anderson fired shots through
the back door, hitting and injuring one man. This home is also the location
where a man was found dead on the sidewalk outside earlier on Friday. That
death is not considered suspicious.
Today's search warrant is an example of SPD's commitment to reduce crime in
Spokane and target individuals who commit crimes in order to keep Spokane
safe.
