KIROTV.COM - The owner of several Everett bikini barista stands was arrested Wednesday for investigation of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Bill Wheeler Jr. was booked into the Snohomish County Jail Wednesday afternoon, Everett police said.
Another
man who is Wheeler's business partner was also arrested but was later
released pending further investigation, the Herald said.
Several
baristas at the Grab-N-Go espresso stands were arrested last month,
accused of lewd conduct and violating adult cabaret laws.
One of the four baristas arrested was 16 years old, the Herald said.
One of the girls' arrests was caught on camera by the coffee stand's surveillance camera.
Wheeler said officers disconnected his surveillance security system after the arrests.
Earlier
in February, Everett detectives arrested two other baristas at the same
stand, saying that over a two-month investigation, baristas put on
shows for undercover detectives, instead of selling coffee.
None of the baristas have been charged.
Police returned to the stands Wednesday afternoon to search for potential evidence.
Sexual exploitation of a minor is a felony.
