Gas Prices Falling
NBCRightNow.com - Prices at the pump are beginning to ease. According to the Lundberg Survey, prices have dropped nearly six cents a gallon over the past two weeks. The national average is now $3.73.
This is the first drop after nine straight weeks of price hikes.
Analysts cite lower oil prices and say the cost to fuel up should continue to fall.

LA GRANDE, Wash. - Authorities say a man who was drunk, naked and having sex with a woman while driving south of Tacoma missed a curve and struck a tree. Washington State Patrol spokeswoman Brooke Bova says the crash happened at about 6 p.m. Wednesday on Mountain Highway East near La Grande.>>

BENTON CITY, Wash. (AP) - Authorities say they're investigating an attempted murder plot involving several students at a southern Washington high school. The Tri-City Herald reports that three 16-year-old students - two boys and a girl - had plotted to kill an 18-year-old classmate on Nov. 15. The classmate, who was not hurt, was lured to the back of a market, where they had planned to kill him with a knife.>>
NEWMAN LAKE, Wash. - UPDATE: Detectives have charged 29-year-old Nicholas L. Holden with second degree murder Friday evening. After concluding interviews, detectives booked Holden into Spokane County Jail. They will continue to process evidence and conduct interviews as the investigation continues.>>
WHITEHALL, N.Y. - Authorities say an 8-year-old child is hospitalized with serious injuries after a car crashed as the child steered the vehicle while sitting on a New York man's lap. State police say 36-year-old Brett Reynolds, of Whitehall, took his mother's car late Tuesday and allowed the child to steer while Reynolds worked the pedals.>>
BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore's police commissioner says a detective killed last week was slain a day before he was set to testify in a corruption probe into activities of indicted police officers. Commissioner Kevin Davis announced the revelation Wednesday, a week after the detective was shot in the head in a vacant lot. Rumors have been running rampant in Baltimore about the unsolved case.>>
