New Person Of Interest: Crime Tracker Alert

SPOKANE, Wash- KHQ Local News has a Crime Tracker Alert. Michael Van Woods, a man from Tacoma Washington who was recently residing in Coeur D'Alene and Plummer is wanted for kidnapping.

The photo attached was a booking photo of Michael Van Woods from 2009 when he was booked in Kootenai County for Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping and Intimidation.

KHQ Local News Reporter Dylan Wholenhaus was able to confirm with a woman who is a member of the Coeur D'Alene Tribe that Michael Van Wood is an enrolled member of the tribe, but it is unknown if he still in the area.

Authorities tell us that they believe Michael Van Woods has the potential to be violent.

Twenty-year-old Michelle Childers and her husband, 22-year-old Daniel Childers, were taking a recreational drive along the Lochsa River on September 5. Michelle says they had driven down a dead end road and were on their way back out when, somehow, a limb from a spruce tree came through the passenger window and impaled her neck.>>
