HOUSTON, March 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The intellectual property boutique firm Sutton McAughan Deaver PLLC is proud to announce that partner Jeff Andrews has been selected to the 2013 Texas Rising Stars listing of the state's top up-and-coming attorneys.

Mr. Andrews was recognized in the annual listing for his work in intellectual property litigation.  He received his J.D. from the University of Houston in 2005; he also holds a Ph.D. from Duke, a master's from Yale, and undergraduate degrees from the University of Rochester. Mr. Andrews represents clients in litigation and dispute resolution as well as IP counseling in a variety of industries and technologies, ranging from oil and gas exploration and production to power electronics to industrial processes.

In order to compile the Texas Rising Stars list, researchers with Thomson Reuters' legal division solicit nominations each year from attorneys across Texas, asking them to identify the best lawyers age 40 or younger, and those who have been practicing for no more than 10 years. Only 2.5 percent of all eligible Texas lawyers earn the Texas Rising Stars distinction each year.
