PLYMOUTH, Mich., March 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Community Financial Credit Union today announced the winners of its second annual President's Day Essay Contest, and Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln topped the list of the winners' dream lunch guests.

For the second year in a row, Community Financial asked students, "Which U.S. President would you like to have lunch with and why?"

This year, Krupa Patel, a 7th-grader from Canton Charter Academy who wanted to have lunch with President Washington, earned the middle school group grand prize, and Reese Oberksi, a 4th-grader from Smith Elementary in Plymouth who wanted to have lunch with President Lincoln, took home the elementary school grand prize.

Both winners will receive $100 cash along with lunch for their class with Community Financial President/CEO Bill Lawton. Their teachers will also receive a $100 gift card for classroom supplies.  Ten finalists will each receive $10 gift cards to Subway restaurants.

"It is always refreshing to see the creative responses we get from students," said Natalie McLaughlin, Community Financial education partnership coordinator.  "By providing them a forum like this to express their ideas, we get to learn a lot about how students view history and our leaders."

WASHINGTON (AP) - Wind, humidity and rainfall combined precisely to create the massive killer tornado in Moore, Okla. Meteorologists contacted by The Associated Press used real time measurements to calculate the energy released during the storm's life span of almost an hour.
