Applied Marketing Science, Inc. (AMS), a leading-edge market research and consulting firm, is pleased to announce that John Mitchell has re-joined the firm as a Principal working in the Product & Process Innovation practice area of the company. With more than 15 years of market research, marketing strategy, innovation, and management consulting experience, John will be responsible for client management and will design and deliver customized research studies to help clients achieve success in innovation and new product development. John was with Applied Marketing Science from 2004 to 2008, and will resume and increase his responsibilities as Principal.
As a seasoned management consultant and market researcher, John has held a wide range of positions in market research, both on the consulting side and on the client side. He has served clients across many industries, with specific expertise in high-tech and telecom, software, medical devices, travel and hospitality, as well as consumer packaged goods. He has extensive experience leading both domestic and international research engagements, having studied customers in South America, Europe and Asia. Most recently, John was a Manager at Innosight, an innovation strategy consulting firm founded by Harvard Business School professor Clayton Christensen, where he managed and executed high level innovation process engagements. Before joining Innosight, John led the North American customer insights team at Vistaprint, a global provider of custom printing and small-business marketing solutions. Prior to his time at Vistaprint, John was a Customer Insights Expert in the Marketing and Sales practice of McKinsey & Company, where he provided consulting on marketing, innovation, and new product development.
