Gonzaga Receives a 12-seed in NCAA Tournament, Will Play Iowa State in Spokane

The Gonzaga women's basketball team has received a 12-seed in the NCAA women's tournament and will play 5-seed Iowa State in Spokane. The game is scheduled to tip at 1:15 PT.

Gonzaga (27-5, 15-1 WCC), the WCC regular season and tournament champions, will face Big-12 regular season and tournament runner-ups, Iowa State (23-8, 12-6 Big-12). Three of the Cyclones' losses have come to Baylor, the consensus favorite to win the NCAA championship.

Iowa State has three players averaging double-digits, led by Hallie Christofferson's 15.1 points per game. Chelsea Poppens and Anna Prins contribute 13.1 and 12.0 points per game, respectively.

If Gonzaga advances past the round of 64, it will face the winner of Georgia-Montana.
