STORIES FROM THE ROAD: GU Alum Sees Future Success On Gonzaga's Drive For The Title

BOISE, Idaho - Jarrod Davis says he likes the Bulldogs chances this March. He says the bench is deep, they play defense and he thinks Kelly Olynyk is one of the best in the game. Davis played for Gonzaga in the early 90's, but now he works and lives in Boise.

"I graduated at Gonzaga in '92 so my big nemesis was Doug Christie at Pepperdine, the old Loyola teams and those guys," Davis said.

His teammate Geoff Goss also lives in Boise now, but was unable to make the interview so his father stepped in.

"I grew up in Spokane so I've know about Gonzaga since 1953," David Goss said.

When we arrived at his office Goss was filling out his bracket. Here's one of his predictions.

"Gonzaga goes to the final four."

And here's why.

"If you don't go 8,9 or 10 deep that's really hard to advance and Gonzaga's got 10 players that can play," Goss said.

Gonzaga is set to play Southern in their first game of the NCAA tournament beginning at 1:10 pacific time on Thursday. If they advance they will play Saturday in Salt Lake City, Utah.
