KENNEWICK, Wash.-- On Easter eve, egg hunts and Easter bunny meet and greets were held all over the region Saturday.
At the Family Resource Center in Kennewick, kids picked up eggs and turned them in for prizes.
Organizers said 200 people came out for their first annual event.
And this particular egg hunt wasn't just fun. It was also a fundraiser.
"You're already taking your kids out for an Easter event so why not go somewhere that's going to benefit somebody else. You're not just benefiting one person. We help a huge number," said Yadira Galvan, Director of the Family Resource Center.
The money raised Saturday will help the Family Resource Center pay for programs and services they offer to local families in need.
