Report: Payton Elected To Hall Of Fame

It is reported that Gary Payton will be the newest member of the NBA Hall of Fame. It is reported that Gary Payton will be the newest member of the NBA Hall of Fame.

Gary Payton has been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, according to a tweet by NBA.com's Scott Howard-Cooper, who said the official announcement will come Monday.

Payton, known as The Glove, played 17 seasons in the NBA, including 12 1/2 with the Seattle Sonics. Payton was a nine-time All-Star, nine-time member of the NBA All-Defensive First Time and NBA champion in 2006 with the Heat. He won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 1996 while with the Sonics.
