Fever prepare for familiar Cavalry

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Fever are bussing their way to Wyoming. Friday evening the Fever will face former defensive coordinator Ryan Lingenfelder and his Cavalry. It is the first of four match-ups this season between the teams. Last season Tri-Cities swept Wyoming. Not much improvement since for the winless Cavalry. But the Fever can't take them lightly.

"It's a scary game, a trap game for us. We're traveling a long distance, we're bussing, against a team that's desperate from a win, at home. This is a tough game for us," head coach Adam Shackleford said.

"We've just got to go out there and focus on us and do our defense. If we just go out there and play our Fever defense, I think we'll be fine. I don't know their coach personally. I'm a rookie. But I heard he's a good coach. Those guys are well-coached,"defensive back Donyae Coleman added.
