Starbuck Kids To Testify Against Locked Up Dad In Mom's Murder Trial

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - It's been nearly a year and a half since the murder of Chanin Starbuck in her Deer Park home. After her murder, police arrested her ex-husband, Clay Starbuck, after finding evidence that pointed to him as her killer. Now, just a month before the trial, there are new developments in the case. A judge ruled that five of Starbuck's children will testify for the prosecution, against their father, in a video testimony that will be recorded later this month.

The case goes back to December of 2011. Two of the Starbuck boys are adults, three are juveniles, and they will take the stand against their father in their mother's murder case. Prosecutor Steve Tucker asked the judge for the ruling and it was granted. Prosecutors believe the kids have critical information that will help their case as they work to keep Clay Starbuck locked up.

On December 3rd, 2011, Chanin Starbuck was found dead. Police arrested Clay Starbuck in February and he was soon charged with his ex-wife's murder. The murder trial is coming up it will take place in the beginning of May, but the kid's video testimony will take place before then. The kids will record their testimony on camera in front of the judge and those testimonies will be used in trial not long from now.
