POST FALLS, ID - Idaho State Police with the assistance of Post Falls Police arrested a 24-year-old woman from Chattaroy, WA Friday afternoon near the state border.
ISP responded to the report of a female unconscious in the passenger seat while her vehicle was parked on eastbound I-90 near mile marker 1. Initial reports suggested it was a medical emergency, so a Post Falls officer responded to assist.
As the officer and troopers tried to take the woman out of her vehicle, Maria Schleinger reportedly took a knife out and began resisting. An ISP trooper took the knife and tossed it, breaking the windshield of the Post Falls police car.
She continued to resist, so an officer tased her. She eventually complied and was arrested. She was officially charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence, obstruction, and driving with a suspended/revoked license.
Her bond was set to 7,000 dollars and as of Monday morning, she remained in custody.
