Fever find new quarterback, and it's not who fans hoped

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Fever found their quarterback replacement for Kasey Peters, and it is not longtime favorite Houston Lillard. It is Theo Scott, fresh from the CFL. Scott should back up Dante Warren. Last Friday Warren replaced Peters, and should start against the Sioux Falls Storm. Friday fans will get a good look at Warren live on SWX.

"It's going to be exciting. We're going to have the crowd behind us. It definitely makes it easier than going on the road. Coach Shack is a great coach. I feel fully prepared to step into this role," Warren said.

"He's exciting. I think he's a confident young man. I think he'll go out and perform well. He doesn't have to win the game. He just has to manage it and make sure the guys around him are doing the right things," head coach Adam Shackleford added.
