UPDATED Suspect Description In CDA Attempted Rape

Coeur d'Alene Police Department Press Release: 

Coeur d'Alene Police Detectives re-interviewed the 16 year-old victim in the attempted rape report that occurred on 041313. The victim was able to provide additional information on the description of the suspect. The description is as follows:

White male, 20 to 30 years of age, 5'5 in height, average weight, red, short hair parted on the side, facial hair that is either a soul patch or a goatee trimmed within a ¼ inch, and a mustache. The suspect was wearing a black Carhartt jacket, tan Carhartt pants, and black boots.

The investigation is on-going. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call the Coeur d'Alene Police Department at 208-769-2320.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Coeur d'Alene Police are responding with the assistance of the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office to the report of an attempted rape that occurred in the 1800 block of N. 15th. A 16 year-old female victim was assaulted by a male that was following her on foot. She sustained some injuries while attempting to flee from him. The female fled to a nearby residence and the home owners let her in then called police.

Officers are attempting to track the suspect with the assistance of a canine unit and Air One. The street is not blocked at this time but citizens are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

A brief suspect description is a white male, reddish hair, scruffy goatee, average height and weight, 20's or 30's, wearing a dark-colored Carhartt jacket. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Coeur d'Alene Police at 208-769-2320.
