Fever analyze quarterback position after Warren's first start

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Dante Warren played well enough in his first start at quarterback for the Tri-Cities Fever -- at least well enough to not lose the first string right away. Last Friday Warren accounted for six touchdowns in the loss to the Sioux Falls Storm. But Theo Scott will still compete for the job.

"I felt good," Warren said about his first IFL start. "Obviously I try to get the game to slow down how I wanted it to. I took the first couple of possessions to do that, but by the second half, I felt comfortable."

"He still needs to make his reads. His first start, we moved the football at times. There were some positive things there. We watched film this morning. He and Theo will battle it out this week for the job," head coach Adam Shackleford added.

Saturday night the Fever visit the Green Bay Blizzard.
