RICHLAND, Wash. - The search for the Richland School District's superintendent continues.
Mr. Joel Aune, the second of three finalists, spoke out at a public forum at Richland High School. Aune touts more than 30 years of experience in the education field, half of that in superintendent positions.
One thing that sets him apart: he's worked with bonds before so he knows all about renovations and rebuilding.
"That's going to be one of the priority initiatives in this district over the next three to four to five years and so I would imagine that having someone serving as superintendent who has that kind of experience would be helpful," Aune said.
Aune's currently working for the Snoqualmie Valley School District but has also worked in Walla Walla and Colfax.
The third finalist, Rick Shulte, will be in town Thursday.
