WEST RICHLAND, Wash. -- When Hanford's stimulus funding ended in the fall of 2011, hundreds of people lost their jobs.

Including Steve Rush and his wife, Sue, who were both laid off on the same day.

Sue was able to find a new job and Steve has kept himself busy by focusing his talents in a new and unique direction.

Now, Steve is the owner of Willow Rush in West Richland makes all kinds of furniture out of willow branches and sticks.

In the meantime, Steve hunts for the perfect sticks and makes fantastic tables, chairs, baskets, mirrors and shelves all out of sticks he collects from along the river.

And on Monday, after two years of constant searching, Sue got a job!
