Small Fever Making BIG Plays in IFL

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - There haven't been many bright spots for the Tri-Cities Fever this year. After winning the IFL's Intense Conference last year, the Fever are sitting at 1-6 on the season. But veteran defensive back Lionell Singleton is tied for the league lead with six interceptions. Singleton is in with his fifth year with coach Adam Shackleford and the familiarity is showing.

"He's a ball hawk, he'll get us interception, I know he had one the other night, a smart player, understands the angles of the game, great character guy off the field. As for a team leader here and a defensive guy here, that plays well for us he's definitely the guy," said Shackleford.

"I've been playing this game for a long time, and I know kinda know the game a little bit better that other people. But I always try to work hard at everything I do, I try to be the best at everything I do," said Singleton.
