Fever beat Cavalry 57-31, former QB Lillard shares update

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Fever beat the Wyoming Cavalry, 57-31 Friday night. The Fever finally get a second win after losing five straight games. In the second half Tri-Cities outscoring Wyoming, 37-15 to pull away.

Dante Warren completed 12 of 18 passes for 177 yards and five touchdowns. Steven Whitehead caught two of those touchdowns to go along with 68 yards receiving. Keithon Flemming ran for 42 yards and two touchdowns. Lionell Singleton had an interception and several passes broken up. Borris Lee led the defense with eight tackles. Brandon Wilson recorded three tackles for loss.

Tri-Cities improves to 2-6 on the season. Next Saturday the Fever will host the Cedar Rapids Titans.

Friday at Toyota Center former Fever quarterback Houston Lillard watched the Fever. He shared with SWX big news on his future in football.

"I've just been in Portland training, living with my brother and my family, getting ready for workouts, a couple of CFL workouts coming up. I got another workout with the Seahawks coming up in two weeks. So I'm just making the best of the opportunity," Lillard said.
