Fever's Warren Awarded IFL Player of the Week

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - After a 70-68 shootout win over the Cedar Rapids Titans the IFL named Fever quarterback Dante Warren offensive player of the week. Dante threw for 125 yards with three touchdowns, he also ran for 75 yards and 4 touchdowns. Dante's been a big reason for the Fever's first win streak of the season, and the guys are feeling the moment going into Saturdays game against Wyoming.

"I thought we had great blocking down field on some of his runs. You know when the quarterback plays well it's important, but when he's running the ball down field and not getting touched, a lot of guys are doing the right things," said Adam Shackleford, on Warren's success.

"These past few weeks I feel like we really hit the ground running, and found our groove. I think that was a big part of us, you know picking it up in the 2nd half. Once we started scoring we couldn't top scoring," added Dejuan Miller, Fever wide receiver.
