Spokane Valley Police: Major Crimes Detectives Investigating Suspicious Death; Victim Identified
UPDATE FROM THE SPOKANE COUNTY MEDICAL EXAMINER: The Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed the identity and the cause and manner of death of the man who was found on May 4, 2013 on N. Edgerton in Spokane, WA. The victim is identified as 58-year-old Timothy Walsh. Cause of the death: Brain Stem Hemorrhage (Bleed). Remainder of the cause of death is pending further investigation.
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE VALLEY POLICE DEPT: Spokane County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Detectives are investigating the unattended death of an adult male reported on May 4th.
On May 4th at approximately 10:43 p.m., Spokane Valley Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of an unattended death in the 3800 block of North Edgerton Road. When deputies arrived, they contacted the adult male who reported the incident.
The male told deputies he found 58-year-old Timothy M. Walsh inside the residence and it was obvious to him Walsh was deceased. Spokane Valley Fire personnel entered the residence with deputies and confirmed the victim was deceased.
Since there are no known witnesses to provide any information about what occurred, the death is being investigated as suspicious until the cause and manner of death can be determined. The Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy on May 6th.
During the initial investigation, there were no signs of obvious trauma to the victim. This is an ongoing investigation and there is no additional information available at this time.
