Fever mantra similar to classic Raiders; Just win baby

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. -- Earlier in the year during the Tri-Cities Fever five-game losing streak, head coach Adam Shackleford said his teams just needed to figure out ways to win. Last Saturday's 70-68 win over Cedar Rapids was one of those games. Even with the offense scoring seven touchdowns, it was the special teams play that came up big, leading to 16 points in 35 seconds.

"I've never seen anything that wild, those things happened pretty fast and we got like two fumbles on kickoffs and turned those into touchdowns and then come back and get a safety the very next time out. Man that was exciting," defensive back Dennis Rogan said.

"You know on a short field, it can get kind of crazy and I've had that many points scored against me in that short time too. So anything can happen. I think the biggest thing with those plays is, not only did we get the ball back, but we scored points," Shackleford added.
